About

Beyond Pink, Inc. is a breast cancer awareness nonprofit that is 501 c 3 tax-exempt based in Rocky Mount, N.C. that serves women in Eastern North Carolina.

Beyond Pink, Inc. was established with the premise of encouraging and educating women and men on the importance of not only taking the first step of screening but also educating and providing resources. The importance of screening is far more critical than just wearing pink or raising awareness one month out of the year. It is an ongoing effort each and every day. Resources are available and we are here to help serve, connect and make an impact in our community and state.

The organization was founded by Lisa Wright, Lisa Wright who currently works with a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company as a site lead, managing and promoting health and wellness. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Winston-Salem State University and has actively worked in healthcare for over 30 years.

Wright is a member of Chi Eta Phi  Sorority and also serves on the Board of Directors with United Way. She is a member of Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount NC. She has received various awards and certifications reflecting not only her love for best practices in nursing but for advocating and connecting individuals with the best resources to meet their needs. She has 3 children and 8 grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, living a healthy lifestyle, volunteering, watching football (GO RAIDERS!!) and experiencing new things.

One of Wright's favorite quotes is by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the staircase.”

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
